Journal
The Mediterranean Journal of Educational Studies is a
bi-annual, international, peer-reviewed journal with a
regional focus. First published in 1996, the journal is the
only comparative and internatonal scholarly review that
addresses educational issues and challenges in the region, and
is managed by the Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Educational
Research of the University of Malta. The MJES is supported by
scholars who represent the Mediterranean region on the
journal's editorial board, on which the MESCE President and
General Secretary of MESCE also serve as honorary members.
Since 2008, the MJES is available free of charge through open
access, and scholars can register in order to receive an alert
when a new issue is published. The journal, together with back
